About The Role

Meade Close is a 9-bed residential care home in Urmston, Manchester, supporting adults with learning and physical disabilities. The home provides high-level support to help individuals meet their personal goals and aspirations. It consists of two four-bed bungalows and a single accommodation bungalow, set within well-maintained private grounds, near Urmston town centre, bus and train stops, Trafford Centre, and Trafford General hospital.

The individuals supported include Kalvin, a massive Man United fan who loves football memorabilia, shopping, bus journeys, and spending time outdoors. Others enjoy walks, gardening, parties, sensory activities, and relaxing with friends. Our team is praised for their hard work, and management actively shares staff achievements across the Salutem family. Job Scope and Responsibilities:
  • Support the Registered Manager: Assist with day-to-day organisation, leadership, and management of the service.
  • Training and Development: Monitor and support staff training needs, including inductions and mandatory training.
  • Health and Safety: Maintain a safe work and home environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Person-Centered Services: Ensure services are tailored to individual needs, considering diversity and inclusion.
  • Team Supervision: Recruit, train, and supervise support workers, conducting performance appraisals and team meetings.
  • IT System Management: Use IT systems for staff management, incident reporting, and quality assurance.
  • External Collaboration: Work with external agencies to promote services and support referrals and placements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Develop knowledge and practices for service improvement and self-development.
  • Risk Management: Conduct risk assessments and develop policies for health, safety, and security.
  • Service Compliance: Ensure services comply with regulatory standards and manage medication administration.
