Are you an experienced early years professional looking to take the next step in your leadership journey? A vibrant and community-focused Children’s Centre in Harrow is seeking a Deputy Manager to join their senior leadership team this September.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the operational and strategic development of a nurturing, inclusive, and high-quality early years provision that supports children and families from diverse backgrounds.
Support the Centre Manager in day-to-day running of the setting, ensuring compliance with Ofsted, EYFS, and safeguarding regulations
Lead and mentor staff to uphold the highest standards of care, teaching, and professional conduct
Coordinate planning, assessment, and tracking systems across rooms
Build strong, effective relationships with parents, carers, and local agencies
Take responsibility for staff supervision, appraisals, and training support
Step in as Acting Manager during periods of absence
Contribute to the centre’s strategic goals and continuous improvement initiatives
Promote an inclusive environment that supports children with additional needs and ensures every child thrives
Minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare and Education (Level 5 or working towards preferred)
Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role within an early years setting
Sound knowledge of the EYFS framework, safeguarding policies, and Ofsted requirements
Experience working with children aged 0–5, including those with SEND
Excellent organisational, communication, and team management skills
Up-to-date Enhanced DBS and Right to Work in the UK

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
