As a Deputy Manager, you will support the General Manager to operate a compliant, effective, person-centred care home, ensuring a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for residents and their visitors.

Overview

Your focus as Care Home Deputy Manager will be to support the General Manager in running a compliant and effective care home that provides high-quality, person-centred care, while meeting professional and statutory standards and commercial targets. You will provide inspirational leadership and management to the staff team, ensure medication policies and procedures are followed, monitor resident wellbeing, and complete audits and reports.

About the role

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing ongoing inspirational leadership and management to the staff team.
  • Ensuring that medication policies and procedures are adhered to and supporting the review of medication and administration.
  • Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident and noting changes impacting care and care plans.
  • Completing monthly audits, quality indicator reports, and other required reports.
  • Attending weekly clinical meetings and monitoring clinical risk areas in the home.
