Job summary

Agincare, a leading UK care provider, is seeking a Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager and lead a team to deliver safe, compassionate care. You’ll help organise operations, maintain standards, and ensure staff cohesion across shifts in Grantham.

The role requires a solid background in health and social care, practical knowledge of CQC regulations, and a passion for developing staff. Agincare offers training, progression, and a supportive workplace.

Qualifications

  • 12 months right to work in the UK
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
  • Knowledge of the care sector, preferably in supported living
  • Strong knowledge of CQC key lines of enquiry and regulatory frameworks
  • Experience leading a team of support workers

Responsibilities

  • Induct and supervise new team members
  • Conduct care audits and maintain person-centred care plans
  • Liaise with families, professionals and clients to ensure holistic care
  • Monitor safeguarding risks and put mitigation processes in place
  • Maintain daily care notes, medication charts, and meeting records

What is required from you?
  • A minimum of 12 months on your right to work
  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
  • Knowledgeable of the care sector - preferably within a supported living setting
  • Good knowledge of the CQC key lines of enquiry and other regulatory frameworks.
  • Level 3 or above in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) is desirable
  • Prior experience leading and engaging a team of support workers.
A day in the life of a Deputy Manager

You will support the Registered Manager, and work closely together to provide consistent operational management, leadership, and oversight. Together you will ensure a safe, caring, responsive, effective, and well-led service to our clients and staff to ensure a high delivery of care.

Your Responsibilities Will Include
  • Induction of new team members and supervision and support to existing team members
  • The completion of care audits to ensure good practice and trigger reviews in care provision for clients as needs change. Your care plans would be person-centred, with focus on dignity and individuality
  • Liaising with family members, care professionals, social workers and the clients themselves to ensure a holistic and transparent care provision.
  • Monitor, report and investigate risks and events of safeguarding concern or harm and ensure processes are in place to mitigate and/or avoid these risks
  • Ensuring administrative records such as daily care notes, medication charts and meeting notes are up to date.
