Overview

Children's Toolkit Nursery & Pre-School recognises that there are children who may require special educational needs provision whilst attending the preschool, due to learning, behavioural, emotional, social, physical, sensory or medical factors. We recognise that all children should be provided with a stable, secure learning environment. We are an upcoming nursery and pre-school opening in London N19 3AD and are guided by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Birth to Five Matters frameworks. We nurture curiosity, confidence and kindness through play-based learning and caring guidance, and enrich our curriculum with themed workshops that incorporate mindfulness, music and movement and sensory activities.

Role and Responsibilities

Role: Deputy Manager (part-time, on-site) located in Islington. The Deputy Manager will support the Nursery Manager/Director in daily operations, ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, conduct assessments, plan activities, and ensure a safe and stimulating environment for all children. Responsibilities include managing staff, maintaining appropriate ratios, implementing the curriculum, overseeing child welfare, and engaging with families. The role supports the SEND/EHCP needs of children as part of the leadership team.

Qualifications

• Relevant Level 3 Childcare qualification
• Paediatric First Aid certification (essential)
• Enhanced DBS Check and Update Service
• Right to Work in the UK
• Experience in Nursery Management
• Strong communication, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills
• At least 2 years of experience in Early Years Education and curriculum implementation, working with children aged 2-5
