Main duties of the job

As a Deputy Manager at Avery Healthcare, you will support the General Manager to operate a compliant and effective person-centred care home that provides a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for residents and their visitors. Your responsibilities will include providing inspirational leadership and management to the staff team, ensuring medication policies and procedures are adhered to, monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, and completing monthly audits and quality indicator reports.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as Care Home Deputy Manager will be to support the General Manager to operate a compliant and effective person-centred care home which provides a safe, caring and stimulating environment for residents and their visitors, whilst meeting stringent professional and statutory standards and commercial performance targets.

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Providing ongoing inspirational leadership and management to the staff team.
  • Ensuring that medication policies and procedures are adhered to and supporting the reviewing of medication and administration.
  • Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any change impacting on care and care plans.
  • Completing monthly audits, quality indicator reports and any other reports as required.
  • Attending weekly clinical meetings and monitoring clinical risk areas in the home.
