Job summary

The Treehouse Club in Brentwood seeks a passionate Deputy Manager to enable enriching learning environments in our forest school setting.

You will lead the team, ensure safeguarding and education standards, and maintain strong parent relationships while delivering engaging activities for children.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Early Years Qualification is required.

Responsibilities

• Support the Manager with the effective day to day running of the setting, ensuring all procedures are adhered to.
• Support the Practitioners to deliver the highest standard of care and enrichment.
• Ensure all room planning is achieving a high level of education for the children.
• Ensure all the team are aware of safeguarding responsibilities.
• Create strong parent relationships.
• Delivering a range of exciting and enriching activities and experiences for the children.
• Updating children's online learning journals with quality observations and routine checks.
• Gaining a clear understanding of policies and procedures, welfare requirements, and Ofsted expectations.
• Follow emergency procedures (fire, lockdown, accident & incident procedures).
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the Nursery.
• Ensure the Nursery conforms to and exceeds Ofsted requirements.
• Uphold and ensure a high standard of care throughout the Nursery.
• Implement and maintain the company Equality policy for positive, non-discriminatory practice.
• Monitor safeguarding issues following local authority procedures.

Key Responsibilities - Deputy Manager

• Support the Manager with the effective day to day running of the setting, ensuring all procedures are adhered to.
• Support the Practitioners to deliver the highest standard of care and enrichment.
• Ensure all room planning is achieving a high level of education for the children.
• Ensure all the team are aware of safeguarding responsibilities.

• Gaining a clear understanding of policies and procedures, statutory welfare requirements, and Ofsted expectations and requirements and ensuring these are maintained at all times.
• Clear knowledge of procedures to be followed in case of emergency e.g. fire, lockdown, accident & incident procedures.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the Nursery.
• Ensuring that the Nursery conforms to and exceeds the requirements of Ofsted.
• Upholding and ensuring a high standard of care throughout the Nursery.
• Implementing and maintaining the company’s Equality policy ensuring that children, parents, and the staff team are valued and practice is positive and non-discriminatory.
• Monitoring any safeguarding issues following local authority procedures.
