A leading local authority in Birmingham is seeking a Deputy Manager for its Shared Lives service. This role requires someone with a Level 4 qualification in Care or Management and experience working with adults in care settings. You will lead and supervise the Shared Lives team, manage performance, and oversee service delivery, making a tangible impact in the community. We are seeking a Deputy Manager to join our Shared Lives Team, a service that offers adults aged 18+ the opportunity to live with approved carers in their homes. Shared Lives provides long-term placements and respite breaks, helping citizens build independence, confidence, and community connections - it can be an amazing alternative to Supported Living or Residential Care.
The Shared Lives Service is on an exciting transformation journey, and you will be part of a strong team who by working collaboratively with social care workers, wider partners and communities will continue to build and shape the Shared Lives offer. We are looking for a dynamic, person-centred, compassionate person who has the zest and energy to inspire those around them, who are authentic and have a sense of purpose, driving positive change.
This is a leadership role which will involve supporting and managing the existing Shared Lives team.
