Job summary

A respected early years education provider in Belfast is seeking a passionate Deputy Manager to support the nursery management team. You will ensure high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5, supervise staff, and engage with parents to enhance children's development. Job description

Sunny Skies Day Nursery is looking for a highly experienced, motivated and passionate deputy manager who would love the exciting challenge of working with us to re-create the success of this much loved day nursery.

Main Responsibilities:

- To deliver a high standard of learning, development and care for children aged 0-5 years.

- To deputise for the nursery manager.

- To supervise and appraise nursery staff as directed.

- To ensure that the nursery is a safe environment for all.

- To build partnerships with parents and carers to increase involvement in their child's development.

- To be responsible for any tasks delegated by the nursery manager.

- To recruit new families to our setting.

- To work with the manager to create a warm and nurturing environment.

Our Expectations:

- To meet Ofsted requirements at all times.

- To deliver an appropriate play based early years foundation stage (EYFS) curriculum that enables children to make individual progress and to support other staff.

- To understand and work towards nursery policies and procedures.

- Working with other professionals to benefit children and families.

Qualifications

- Childcare NVQ Level 3 or equivalent

- DBS checked

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

-Paediatric First Aid

-Food Hygiene Level 2

- Safeguarding Children Level 1

-Managerial experience

-Experience of setting up a new nursery

-Recent Ofsted inspection experience

- Proven track record of team working
