Job description

Nestled in the heart of the Retirement Village, the 61-bedroom Care Home offers dedicated residential care, set within beautiful grounds. We pride ourselves on offering comfortable bedrooms and excellent standards of care.

We are looking for a Deputy Manager to work closely with the Home Manager to manage and support the care team to deliver person-centred care to our residents. You'll help us make health happen by:

• Overseeing and assisting all aspects of nursing care/activities within the home
• Creating and updating individual electronic care plans for our residents, maintaining clear, accurate and up-to-date medication records
• Maintaining adequate staffing levels through efficient management of rotas
• Providing day-to-day support and guidance to the team - promoting our residents' independence, choice and dignity
• Building lasting relationships with the residents and the people they care about, as well as caring about the home itself - fostering a sense of community
• Creating and developing strong relationships with local partners, liaising with these partners, and playing an important role in raising the care home's profile in the local area and beyond

The successful candidate will have previous experience of working as a Deputy Manager within a care home environment, with a genuine commitment to adhering to CQC standards and expanding their professional development. You will have a real understanding of the benefits that the right nursing care can bring to residents' lives, and you'll champion independence, choice and dignity by delivering the highest quality care to our residents.
