Job summary

Agincare is seeking a Deputy Manager to lead the care team at The Croft in Buckinghamshire, delivering person-centred care and ensuring safety and quality across the home. You will work alongside the Registered Manager to maintain high standards and support residents and staff.

The role requires at least 12 months right to work in the UK, experience leading a team of care assistants (and RNs if clinical), and QCF level 3 in Health and Social Care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months right to work in the UK.
• Experience leading a team of care assistants (and Registered Nurses if clinical).
• QCF level 3 diploma or above in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
• Good knowledge of the CQC KLOE and other regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead the care team to ensure that care delivered to residents is safe, supportive and person-centred.
• Support the Registered Manager in day-to-day running of the home.
• Induct new team members and supervise existing staff.
• Complete care audits and maintain care plans focused on dignity and individuality.
• Liaise with families, professionals and residents to ensure holistic care provision.
• Monitor safeguarding risks and keep records up to date.

What is required from you?

• A minimum of 12 months on your right to work in the UK
• Prior experience of leading a team of care assistants (and Registered Nurses if clinical)
• QCF level 3 diploma or above in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
• Good knowledge of the CQC key lines of enquiry and other regulatory frameworks

A day in the life of a Deputy Manager

As Deputy Manager you will be responsible for leading the care team to ensure that the care delivered to our resident is safe,

supportive and person-centred.

You will

support to the Registered Manager in the day to day running of the home, assuming full capacity in their absence.

A typical day could include:

• Induction of new team members and the supervision and

support to existing team members

• The completion of care audits to ensure good practice and trigger reviews in care provision for residents as needs change. Your care plans would be person-centred, with focus on dignity and individuality
• Liaising with family members, care professionals, social workers and the residents themselves to ensure a holistic and transparent care provision.
• Monitor, report and investigate risks and events of safeguarding concern or harm and ensure processes are in place to mitigate and/or avoid these risks
• Ensuring administrative records such as daily care notes, medication charts and meeting notes are up to date.
