Job summary

London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust in London is seeking a highly motivated senior sonographer to take on a band 8a role, managing one of the Imaging Modality services of the Community Diagnostic Centre and Ealing Hospital Ultrasound Departments on a day-to-day basis. You will lead day-to-day activity, train radiographers and students, and deputise for the Clinical Lead Sonographer.

An exciting oppoturnity has arisen for a highly motivated sonographer to undertake a band 8a role which will allow the right candidate to expand their knowledge and skills in day to day management of an ultrasound department, and enable them to make a real difference and improvements for all staff. Includes 15% Retention and recruitment allowance.
To manage one of the Imaging Modality services of the Community
Diagnostic Centre and Ealing Hospital Ultrasound Departments on a day-to
day basis, to undertake Imaging and be responsible for the training of other
radiographers and where necessary students. Line Management
responsibilities and to assist in the day-to-day running of the Radiology
Department. It is a job requirement to coordinate and where reasonable,
meet waiting targets relevant to the area.
To on lead on issues relating to clinical governance and equipment
maintenance for the modality.
Undertake clinical work and maintaining high standard of work of own and
other members of staff.
Deputise and provide support for the Clinical Lead Sonographer.
Maintain and supervise waiting list targets for the modality.
