Job description

Deputy Lead Pharmacy Technician Dispensary Services

Co-ordinate the work, ensuring safe use of equipment using technical expertise and supervise the day-to-day operational running of the dispensary. Develop and manage the training of all grades of staff involved in dispensing in conjunction with the Lead Pharmacy Technician Education and Training. Co-ordinate the day-to-day provision of the technical and support pharmacy service in the dispensary, ensuring the accurate and efficient dispensing of medicines in a timely manner: including controlled drugs and unlicensed medicines in accordance with national guidance. Ensure that all new staff are provided with training on the systems involved in the dispensing process. Audit and monitor the activity of operational service delivery and report to the Lead Pharmacy Technician Dispensary Services at regular intervals. Ensure compliance with medicine storage and the safety and security of medicines in the dispensary.
