Job summary

HC-One Woodthorpe Lodge is seeking a Deputy Home Manager to help deliver compassionate, person-centred care while ensuring compliance with National Standards and regulatory requirements. In the Home Manager’s absence, you’ll oversee resident care and coach colleagues to provide an empathetic service.

You’ll bring knowledge of care planning, strong mentoring skills, excellent time management, and the ability to keep meaningful records.

Qualifications

• Experience with National Standards and person-led care planning in a care home.
• Ability to mentor and coach staff and manage time effectively.
• Strong record-keeping and compassionate communication with residents and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Ensure resident care standards in the Home Manager’s absence.
• Supervise and coach colleagues to provide empathetic, high-quality care.
• Maintain meaningful records and support care planning processes.
• Support a Dementia, Residential and Specialist care setting with kindness and professionalism.

About the role

As a Deputy Home Manager, you’ll ensure the level of care we offer goes beyond just professional standards and statutory, regulatory, and legal requirements. This means taking responsibility for resident care in the Home Manager’s absence and supervising/coaching colleagues to provide a service that’s unparalleled in its empathy for resident issues.

HC-One is looking for a Deputy Home Manager with knowledge of National Standards and a background in person-led care planning within a care home. Beyond that, it’s all about your brilliant, positive energy and natural ability to get along with people. You’ll be a great mentor who can manage time effectively and keep meaningful records. And, whenever you communicate with a resident or co-worker, you’ll be truly considerate and kind.
