Job summary

HC-One is seeking a deputy manager for a care home, responsible for sharing leadership of resident care and stepping in for the home manager in their absence. The role emphasises specialist nursing advice, clinical oversight beyond standard regulatory requirements, and coaching staff in dementia, nursing and residential settings.

Applicants should hold a valid NMC PIN and have experience in person-centred care planning within care homes, with DBS/PVG checks in place.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coach colleagues.
• Mentor colleagues.
• Keep meaningful records.
• Recognise signs of abuse, harm or neglect and report concerns, escalating where appropriate.
• Attend safeguarding training and related ongoing training.
