A leading care provider in Wales is seeking a Deputy Home Manager to ensure high standards of clinical care and resident support. This role includes supervising staff and providing nursing advice while embodying the core values of kindness and empathy. The ideal candidate will possess a valid NMC Pin and knowledge of care standards, with previous experience in person-centred care planning preferred. This position offers professional growth opportunities and a supportive work environment.
As a Deputy Home Manager, you'll be making sure the level of clinical care we offer goes beyond just professional standards and statutory, regulatory, and legal requirements. This means providing specialist nursing support and advice, taking responsibility for resident care in the Home Manager's absence, and supervising/coaching colleagues to provide a service that's unparalleled in its empathy for resident issues.
Provide specialist nursing support and advice; take responsibility for resident care in the Home Manager's absence; supervise and coach colleagues to deliver a service that shows empathy for resident issues; manage time effectively and keep meaningful records; communicate with residents and co-workers in a considerate and kind manner.
HC-One is looking for a Deputy Home Manager with a valid NMC Pin, knowledge of National Standards, and the NMC code of practice. Experience with person-centred care planning within a care home is preferred. You should demonstrate a positive energy and an ability to get along with people, act as a great mentor, and maintain clear, meaningful records.
You will value kindness above all, as it drives every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. All colleagues understand that our residents are people with their own stories, and joining HC-One provides an opportunity to give back. Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility: you should recognise signs of possible abuse, harm or neglect, know what to do if concerns arise, attend safeguarding training, and seek appropriate advice or escalate if action is not taken. At HC-One, kindness is a core belief that guides how we care for people and support them to live their best life. We emphasise five qualities—the HC-One Way: Kindness, Curiosity, Compassion, Creativity, and Courage—along with inclusivity. Our diverse and inclusive workforce helps us learn from each other and better represent the communities we serve. We are committed to developing people through robust career pathways, CPD and postgraduate programmes, with opportunities to progress into regional and national roles.
