Job summary

Fleetville Infant & Nursery School is seeking a Deputy Headteacher to join the senior leadership team. You will lead and model outstanding practice across Early Years and Key Stage 1, with expert knowledge of the EYFS framework, early reading and phonics, and child-led learning to secure strong foundations for every child.

You will drive inclusion and SEN provision, coaching staff and sustaining high standards in teaching, assessment, and curriculum.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in an Early Years or primary setting.
• Deep knowledge of EYFS, early literacy and numeracy.
• Strong relational and communication skills across the school community.
• Ambitious mindset with commitment to safeguarding and inclusion.
• Experience coaching and developing staff is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and model outstanding practice across EYFS & KS1.
• Drive inclusion and SEN provision with targeted interventions.
• Inspire high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment.
• Partner with Headteacher on day-to-day operations and staff line management.
• Build trusted relationships with families and external partners.
