Job description

Are you an education expert? We are currently seeking to represent an experienced Deputy Headteacher for an interim senior leadership job based in an alternative provision in Milton Keynes, Southeast (MK5). If you are an experienced senior leader available immediately or from October half term, we would be keen to speak with you.

If you are an experienced Deputy Headteacher or an Assistant Headteacher seeking a school leadership opportunity who has worked with pupils with SEND across either primary or secondary phases this role may be for you. We are currently supporting a newly built alternative provision based in Milton Keynes, Southeast (MK5). The site has a new Headteacher in place who truly puts the needs of their pupils first and is seeking some interim support on their leadership team. This role is offered on a full-time, temporary basis and typical working hours are 8.30am to 4.30pm to allow for after school briefings. The role is non-teaching and a leadership background in quality of education or as DSL would be advantageous. Children within this school come from a wide range of backgrounds, but all have Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH). Many will also have other Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) such as Autism, ADHD, and communication difficulties.

This site is part of a national trust who are focussed on supporting children with complex behaviours and needs. Their pupils have experienced trauma and adverse childhood experiences, and they work closely with them to develop self-belief to become effective learners. We focus on introducing senior leaders with a therapeutic style. If you are of a similar mindset and ethos, we would be very happy to discuss the role in more detail.
