Job summary

The Greenwell Academy in Harlow seeks an outstanding Deputy Headteacher to join our new purpose-built school serving SEMH pupils. You will lead in partnership with the Headteacher to maintain high standards and ensure a nurturing, inclusive environment.

Applicants should be experienced leaders with a strong commitment to children with complex behavioural, social and emotional difficulties and a clear safeguarding ethos.

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding and experienced Deputy Headteacher at our new purpose built school in Harlow.

Information about the School

The Greenwell Academy offers a nurturing, inclusive environment for sixty four pupils with SEMH and associated needs with residential provision for fifteen pupils. We have high expectations for each child to leave as a confident young adult who is well prepared for the future. The school opened in 2023 and is sited in Harlow next to the Sir Frederick Gibberd secondary school.

The role will initially be for 3 days a week and will be extended to 5 days a week once we have moved into the new building.

All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements to ensure the safeguarding of children and young people. All positions will involve appropriate checks and clearances.
