Deputy Headteacher (KS2 Class Teacher & Whole-School Teaching & Learning Lead)

32.5 hours per week, Full time

We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Deputy Headteacher to join our dedicated team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our school.

The Role:

This is a unique opportunity to combine your passion for teaching with strategic leadership.

You will:

  • Teach a class within Key Stage 2, maintaining the highest standards of teaching and learning.
  • Lead and develop teaching and learning across the whole school, ensuring consistent excellence in classroom practice.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning, providing support and guidance to staff.
  • Lead on curriculum development, implementation, and assessment.
  • Analyse data to identify trends and inform school improvement strategies.
  • Contribute to the strategic leadership and management of the school, working closely with the Headteacher.
  • Deputise for the Headteacher as required.
  • Lead professional development initiatives to enhance staff expertise.
  • Contribute to the school's self-evaluation and improvement planning.
  • Support the safeguarding and well-being of all pupils.

  • Possesses strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
  • Has a deep understanding of the national curriculum and assessment practices.

  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Is committed to their own professional development and the development of others.
  • Has the ability to analyse data effectively to drive improvement.
  • Is a team player with a positive and proactive approach.
  • Has knowledge of current educational legislation and best practice.
