Luminate Education Group is seeking a Deputy Head of Teaching, Learning & Assessment to lead an experienced team at several colleges. This role involves innovating TLA practices, mentoring leaders, and maintaining quality assurance while ensuring excellent education delivery in a vibrant learning environment.
Luminate Education Group are recruiting for a Deputy Head of Teaching, Learning & Assessment to join our team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Head of Teaching. Learning & Assessment (TLA) to support our journey to excellence at Leeds City College, Keighley College and Harrogate College, following the successful progression of our current post holder.
As the Deputy Head of TLA, you will lead a team of 5 Advanced Practitioners as part of a credible and experienced central TLA team providing excellent customer service and support for curriculum departments in helping them to drive forward the TLA Vision & Strategy.
You will be an innovative teacher/leader with a proven record of ‘good or better’ teaching, learning and assessment practice. Responsibilities will include coaching leaders and managers, completing short lesson visits and learning walks, delivering training to maximise the development of our staff and oversight and leadership of quality assurance processes and reporting. Experience of line management would be advantageous in this role.
We would be particularly interested in applicants who can demonstrate a track record of implementing TLA strategies at scale, leading change and innovation and/or have previous experience in mentoring and coaching leaders and managers. You will have a confident and empathic approach and be able to build relationships with colleagues built on trust and credibility, getting the best out of those that you work with.
There will be a requirement to deliver teaching in a curriculum department appropriate to your skills and expertise (1 day a week).
