Job Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic, skilled, and self-motivated individual to join the highly collaborative and friendly back of house team as Deputy Head of Stage at the Playhouse Theatre.

Job Description

Deputy Head of Stage

We are seeking an enthusiastic, skilled, and self-motivated individual to join the back of house team as Deputy Head of Stage at the Playhouse Theatre, home to the Olivier Award-winning production of Cabaret. This role offers the opportunity to lead on stage and building requirements, support a long-running production, and manage building maintenance projects over the coming year.

As Deputy Head of Stage, you will support the Head of Stage with the daily technical operations of the theatre. Your responsibilities will include assisting with get-ins, fit-ups, and get-outs of new productions and visiting events, as well as maintaining the theatre to ensure high standards for visiting companies.

Successful candidates will be clear communicators, able to work closely with the Head of Stage and Technical & Building Manager to foster effective relationships with visiting companies, the venue team, colleagues in London theatres, ATG's central services, contractors, and suppliers. Strong people skills are as important as technical expertise. The role involves a balance of practical technical work and department management; please note that regular evening and weekend work will be required.

Our expertise enables producers and creatives to bring their visions to life, creating memorable performances in landmark venues with exceptional hospitality. The passion of our teams across all disciplines in the live entertainment industry underpins our ongoing growth and success.
