We are thrilled to announce two new and exciting leadership opportunities within our newly strengthened federated structure at Twynham School and The Grange School.
As part of our continued commitment to delivering an exceptional education for the young people of Christchurch, we are seeking two energetic, visionary Deputy Heads of School to join our ambitious and supportive leadership team. Both roles are pivotal to driving our shared ambition to provide a world-class education and outstanding personal development for every student in our community.
The Deputy Head of School (Pastoral) is a crucial new role focused on ensuring that every student at Twynham School feels known, supported, and able to thrive both academically and personally. As Deputy Head of School (Pastoral), you will provide the leadership, vision and expertise to develop and enhance the pastoral systems, culture, and care within the school.
You will lead on the quality of behaviour and attitudes, personal development, safeguarding culture, attendance, and wider wellbeing initiatives. Your work will be pivotal in shaping an inclusive, respectful and aspirational environment where all students are empowered to succeed - socially, emotionally and academically.
You will be responsible for inspiring and supporting staff in consistently delivering high standards of behaviour, promoting positive relationships, and nurturing a culture where kindness, resilience, and ambition are the norm. You will also play a key strategic role in embedding the new House system launching at Twynham School in September 2025, further strengthening the sense of belonging and community.
We are seeking an energetic and compassionate leader who understands the critical role that pastoral care plays in student success and is committed to ensuring that every young person at Twynham School can enjoy a safe, happy, and fulfilling school experience.
