Deputy Head of Learning Progression
Education for Industry Group
Part-Time, 0.6 – 3 days per week

About the role

The Deputy Head of Learning Progression will support the Head of Learning Progression on the development of the overall provision within the EFI Group. They will provide day-to-day operational management of the EFI Group’s Learning Progression Team to support all students, including those with SEND needs or learning vulnerabilities, to fulfil their potential to the best of their ability regardless of starting points.

The post holder will be part of the student services senior management team and as such will be one of the EFI Group’s Designated Safeguarding Leads.


About you

  • Qualifications: NASENCO and Designated Safeguarding Lead qualified, or a desire to go on that journey supported by EFI Group and specialist professional training in relevant subject area.
  • Experience: You will be an experienced practitioner who is looking to move into SEND management. Experience teaching and/or supporting pupils with SEND, making/receiving SEND referrals (including overseeing all aspects of EHCPs from Consultation to Annual Review).
  • Expertise: Knowledge of SEND national and local policy and developments, understanding of Safeguarding, Wellbeing and Equality and Diversity issues as they relate to this role.
  • Passion: Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build long-term partnerships and foster collaborative, cross-departmental relationships and strong commitment to raising educational attainment for students with SEND.

Salary: From £27,810 to £29,970 (pro rata £46,350 to £49,950 per annum FTE), subject to qualifications and experience
