Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Head of Healthcare to join our Healthcare team at HMP Brixton, a category C Prison located in London.

HMP Brixton is one of London's oldest male prisons, it has a capacity for 798 inmates. We are recruiting for a Deputy Head of Healthcare to support the Head of Healthcare. You will need to be a clinical professional to support the daily running and bring clinical supervision to the wider healthcare team.

Hours

Monday - Friday, 0800 - 1600 or 0900 - 1700

Salary

This position is full-time, you'll receive an annual salary up to £62,000 per annum depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK on a permanent basis and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.

Main duties of the job

As a Deputy Head of Healthcare, your responsibilities will vary. You will

  • Provide outstanding evidence-based care to our patients by seeking out, listening to, and acting on feedback so that patient engagement is at the centre of service delivery.
  • Provide day-to-day operational service delivery and data which has integrity, in a timely manner to meet commissioner expectations.
  • Deliver non-judgemental, compassionate care within the financial framework that is safe, high-quality, and in line with CQC requirements.
  • This will be achieved through adherence to policies and procedures and compliance with statutory responsibilities whilst driving excellence.

  • Degree or appropriate equivalent level of experience or clinical qualification
  • Experience as a clinical lead preferred.
