Job description

Title: Deputy Head of Digital Delivery

Location: Gilwell Park, E4 7QW (with remote working, one or two days in the office per week)

Salary: £72,000.00 per annum (Band H Level 3 - inclusive of Outer London Weighting & Market Supplement)

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week)

Lead Digital Change at Scouts

The Transformation team is a passionate, talented group that has delivered a major Digital Transformation for 145,000 adult volunteers. Now, they are focused on embedding digital tools and continuously improving them, ensuring sustainable products that support 450,000 young people gaining Skills for Life every week.

We are looking for a senior digital leader to guide this talented team, embedding best practices in Product Management, Delivery Management, and Business Analysis.

Note: This is not a Programme Manager role.

Key responsibilities as Deputy Head of Digital Delivery include:

  1. Drive the delivery of projects and products managed by the team
  2. Provide leadership with a focus on planning resource capacity against product and project roadmaps
  3. Manage budgets, monitor progress, risks, and issues, and handle exceptions and changes

What we are looking for:

  1. A confident, collaborative, and driven professional with a proven track record in managing a range of technology and digital projects and products
  2. Experience working with senior stakeholders to understand, manage, and challenge assumptions
  3. Experience managing, motivating, and coaching teams in a matrix environment with diverse subject disciplines
