Salary: £41,739 - £43,177.Incremental progression throughout the band is available

Contract Type: Fixed Term Up to 12 Months | Hours per Week: 1.0FTE | Location: Eccles College,Chatsworth Road, M30 9FJ

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join this successful and highly motivated department at Eccles Sixth Form College as a Deputy Head of Life Sciences. The department offers a varied curriculum from Level 1 to L4 across Applied Science, Animal Management, Equine Management, and Veterinary Nursing with a strong focus on progression.

The successful candidate will be able to bring their own expertise to this dedicated high achieving department with experience across at least two of our curriculum disciplines. The successful candidate will have a degree or equivalent in a related subject alongside a teaching qualification and relevant and extensive vocational industry experience. It is also desirable that the candidates hold or are working towards a Master’s Degree and / or holds a position within an external awarding body. You will be well motivated, responsive to change and innovative, with good communication skills.

This position will end on the return of the substantive post holder.
