This is an exciting development opportunity to shape the provision of English and Maths at Rotherham College, including external partners and stakeholders.
In this role, you will:
As Deputy Head of Department, you will support the work of the Head of Department for English and Maths. You will build relationships with internal and external partners to ensure the outstanding delivery of GCSE, Functional Skills, some non-accredited provisions, and their new 'Stepping Stone' qualifications.
You must hold a Level 2 (or equivalent) qualification in English and Maths (or higher), a degree or relevant qualification, and a recognised Level 5 or higher teaching qualification, along with evidence of recent CPD.
As a leader, you should possess strong interpersonal skills (verbal and written), be able to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, and influence a diverse range of people.
You will be line managed by the Head of Department - Maths and English. Collaboration with cross-college and external partners is essential. As Deputy Head of Department, you will attend necessary meetings, both on and offsite, to ensure progress and positive learner outcomes.
