Overview

Job Title: Deputy Head of Department - Construction (2 roles available, 1 Permanent & 1 Fixed Term)

Salary: £45,643 + 4% Market Force Supplement

Hours per Week: 35 (Full Time)

Location: Wirral Waters Campus, Wirral Met College

We are actively searching for a Deputy Head of Construction to join our Construction team at Wirral Waters Campus for 35 hours per week.

We will offer a salary of £45,643 + 4% Market Force Supplement per year plus incentives.

Responsibilities
  • To deputise regularly for the Head of Department
  • To work with the Head of Department to develop and implement programmes of study across all types of provision that are fit for purpose and lead to sustainable destinations for all students.
  • To support the Head of Department in the design of programmes for all provision types which embrace innovative and best practice teaching approaches to enable the department to achieve the highest standards.
  • To assist in the development of a curriculum that is inclusive and allows the maximum number of students with SEND to access our provision.
About You
  • Hold or commit to achieving a formal management qualification within three years.
  • Hold a teaching qualification
  • Hold a degree or equivalent suitable vocational or professional qualification and experience in a subject discipline related to the area of responsibility.
  • Have experience of high-quality teaching, learning and assessment resulting in a positive impact over time
