Speedy Freight in Knutsford is offering an exciting opportunity for a qualified Assistant Group Financial Controller to join their senior finance leadership team. This role will have significant visibility with the CFO and involves ownership of financial control, group reporting, and finance operations across the UK and US.

The ideal candidate will be ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified and have proven experience in group finance and multi-currency accounting. With a focus on leadership and mentorship, you will be responsible for guiding a finance team of 30 while fostering continuous improvement across finance processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in Group Finance, Financial Control, or Corporate Reporting.
• Strong background in multi-entity consolidations and month-end close.
• Experience of multi-currency accounting and international reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the month-end close process across multiple entities.
• Manage multi-currency accounting, intercompany reconciliations, and cash flow reporting.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a finance team of 30.
