Deputy Manager Requirements:

  • Solid experience in a similar role, with proven leadership and delivery skills
  • Experience in Restaurant/Hospitality
  • Proven track record of leading teams to success
  • Strong financial skills for managing audits and due diligence
  • Ability to manage budgets, labor controls, and forecasting
  • Strong commercial acumen to drive sales and business results
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and quick thinking
  • Great communication skills to lead, inspire, and delight guests

Deputy Manager Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate the FOH team
  • Oversee all aspects of operation including People, Guest, Sales, Profit, Health & Safety, and Property
  • Maintain Upham Inn standards and meet performance targets through a People-first, Guest-obsessed, operational excellence approach
  • Support the General Manager in delivering excellence across the premises
  • Lead training and development within the team

What do we do?

We own 28 unique premium pubs across Southern England, located in scenic country villages and towns. We pride ourselves on being the local quality pub, serving high-quality, fresh food in a cozy atmosphere. Many of our pubs feature charming bedrooms. Recently, we launched Harper’s Steakhouse, our new premium American Steakhouse brand.
