Deputy Manager Requirements

  • Solid experience in a similar role with a proven leadership track record
  • Experience in Restaurant/Hospitality is essential
  • Proven ability to lead teams successfully
  • Strong financial skills, able to manage audits and due diligence
  • Ability to manage budgets, labour controls, and forecasting
  • Commercial acumen to drive sales and business results
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and quick thinking
  • Strong communication skills to lead, inspire, and delight guests
  • The Right to Work in the UK

Deputy Manager Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire the FOH team
  • Oversee all aspects of the operation including People, Guest, Sales, Profit, Operations, Health and Safety, and property
  • Maintain Upham Inn standards and achieve performance targets through a People-first, Guest-obsessed, operational excellence strategy
  • Support the General Manager in driving excellence across all areas
  • Role model and guide training and development within the team

We own 28 beautiful, individual premium pubs across Southern England, located in idyllic country settings. We pride ourselves on being the local go-to for high-quality, fresh pub food in a cozy atmosphere. Many of our pubs feature charming bedrooms. Recently, we launched Harper’s Steakhouse, a new premium American Steakhouse brand.
