Our client, a world-renowned leader in their sector, is seeking a Deputy General Counsel to join their legal team on a permanent basis.

Reporting directly to the General Counsel & Company Secretary, you’ll play a key strategic role in shaping the company’s legal approach during an exciting period of expansion. This is a high-impact position where your insights will help influence major business decisions and contribute to the development of a best-in-class legal function.

The General Counsel is an inspiring leader who is looking for a true partner—someone who brings commercial acumen, practical legal advice, and a collaborative spirit to the table. Together, you’ll work to build a high-performing, solution-oriented legal team that supports senior leadership and the broader business.

Key responsibilities:

• Act as the primary legal advisor for the organisation’s European operations
• Provide strategic counsel on corporate, commercial, regulatory, compliance, and governance matters
• Collaborate closely with European-based CEOs and engage regularly with Board members
• Lead and manage a team of legal professionals
• Support cross-border initiatives and be open to occasional international travel

What we’re looking for:

• Significant in-house legal experience, with a strong focus on European jurisdictions
• Expertise in corporate and commercial law
• Ideally some regulatory experience
• Experience advising senior stakeholders in complex environments
• Fluency in one or more European languages is advantageous, but not essential
