A growing business in finance in Barnsley is looking for a Deputy Finance Manager to oversee daily finance operations and lead the transactional team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in finance, strong leadership skills, and expertise in Sage 50 accounts. Job description

Sharp Consultancy are working with a rapidly growing business based in Barnsley that are looking for a Deputy Finance Manager to join their team on a full time and permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong leaderships skills, a passion for finance and a positive attitude towards contributing to the success of the business.

The main duties of this role will include:

  • Manage the day–to–day operations of the Transactional finance team

  • Oversee the accuracy and integrity of Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger and payroll data.

  • Act as the key liaison between the finance department and other business areas

  • Maintain and manage IT Systems within the finance department

  • Prepare and present monthly financial reports, including KPIs and Reconciliation of invoicing accounts

  • Ensure sales, costs and payroll are properly handled and accounted for.

Skills and experience required:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a finance department with strong expertise with Sage 50 accounts and payroll.

  • Proven ability to manage and motivate a team

  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills

  • Advanced experience with Microsoft office and in particular Excel

  • Experience managing and improving account systems and procedures
