We currently have an exciting opportunity to join East Suffolk Council's Elections Team as a Deputy Electoral Services Manager.

The role:

Supporting the Electoral Services Manager, you will administer Electoral Services on behalf of East Suffolk and supervise the Electoral Services team based in Lowestoft.

You will co‑ordinate and administer all elections (Parliamentary, County, District, Town/Parish), parish polls and referenda including Neighbourhood Planning and Business Improvement District ballots that take place in the North of the East Suffolk district, in accordance with the relevant legislation and in liaison with the Electoral Services Manager.

What you will need:
  • Experience of working in a busy office environment at a supervisory level and with experience of electoral registration and elections.
  • Project Management or Management qualification and strong leadership skills to engage, coach and motivate teams.
  • An AEA qualification or a commitment to obtain this qualification in the immediate future if not already qualified.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
