Job description

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced healthcare manager to join the Division of Medicine as Deputy Divisional Director for Specialty Medicine.

Reporting to the Divisional Director, the post-holder will be responsible for the operational and performance management of the Specialty Medicine portfolio.

Interviews are scheduled for the beginning of September. Please ensure your availability to attend on this date.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Act as divisional lead for operational issues within the Division, as defined by the Divisional Director.
  2. Provide leadership and support to clinical and non-clinical teams.
  3. Collaborate with the senior management team to deliver the Division’s Objectives outlined in the annual Operating Plan.
  4. Participate actively in the Divisional senior management team and Divisional Board, supporting the development of junior general managers.
  5. Work closely with clinical staff and leads across the Division.
  6. Ensure delivery of Trust-wide objectives and projects as required.
  7. Participate in daily Silver operational responsibilities as part of a shared rotation.
  8. Contribute to the trust-wide on-call manager rota.
