A national health organization in Port Talbot seeks a Deputy Director of Public Health to lead teams and implement population health strategies. Ideal for candidates with expertise in public health, epidemiology, and experience in senior leadership roles. We have an exciting opportunity to work in the Swansea Bay University Health Board as our Deputy Director of Public Health (Consultant grade AfC or Medical & Dental).

You will help shape the development and implementation of approaches supporting our population health ambitions, including collaboration with primary care, third sector, and community sectors.
Swansea Bay covers a diverse population of around 390,000, situated in an area of outstanding beauty, with award-winning beaches, good schools, and many cultural, sporting, and leisure opportunities.
You will take an individual portfolio and provide leadership to the team supporting the Health Board in delivering its Population Health Strategy. This involves working at senior leadership level within the Health Board, with local partners, the NHS in Wales, and Public Health Wales.
This role is ideal for an experienced Consultant with practical knowledge of all three domains of Public Health, to lead a multidisciplinary team.
