Job description

We are looking to recruit an experienced CCAB qualified Accountant to be our lead specialist in all aspects of strategic and commercial finance and financial improvement, advising the trust on a variety of complex issues. This is a key role within the senior management of the Trust and has overall responsibility for delivering the Trust's 3-year financial recovery plan along with taking the strategic financial lead on the Trust's transformation and sustainability agenda.


You will lead major change projects where the complexity and/or cross-organisational impact requires senior and experienced leadership to ensure delivery. You will provide best practice programme management and subject matter expertise to lead the continued implementation of the Trust’s annual efficiency and transformation programmes, corporate projects, and support the management and delivery of key Trust projects.


Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides a full range of hospital and community services for people across East Cheshire (population 399K) and West Cheshire and Chester (population 357K). The Trust provides high-quality planned and emergency care, cardiac, critical care, child health, maternity services, and intermediate care at Leighton Hospital in Crewe, Victoria Infirmary in Northwich, and Elmhurst Intermediate Care Centre in Winsford.


The Trust provides over 500 beds and employs over 5,100 members of staff. A comprehensive range of community services is provided across 26 medical centres and schools through our Central Cheshire Integrated Care Partnership.
