A leading healthcare provider in the UK is seeking a Deputy Director of Finance to oversee financial integrity and lead the Financial Services teams. This role requires significant experience in financial services and the ability to manage complex issues and large teams. Candidates must possess professional accountancy qualifications and demonstrate effective leadership and communication skills. The NHS financial landscape is challenging and subject to increasing scrutiny. This role will jointly be responsible with the other Deputy Directors of Finance for ensuring the integrity of the general ledger, giving assurance to the Director of Operational Finance and Director of Strategic Finance that the financial information supplied is accurate and in accordance with professional accounting standards.
The role holder will lead the Financial Services teams across a number of areas, including financial accounting and controls, capital expenditure, treasury management and purchase and sales ledger. A continuous improvement mindset will be required, alongside professional curiosity to constructively challenge ways of working and established views.
