A leading healthcare facility in East Grinstead is seeking an experienced Estates and Facilities Manager to lead operational and budget management for the Trust's services. The role will involve overseeing the new hospital project and ensuring quality service delivery while managing resources effectively.   • Ensure value for money in procurement.
  • Identify efficiencies and deliver the CIP.
  • Manage the Trust’s estate including procurement and redevelopment.
  • Implement the Capital Programme on time and within budget.
  • Be accountable for estates construction and maintenance.

Job description

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and reviewing Estates and Facilities Services to improve operational efficiency, service delivery, and provide an excellent patient experience. The programme to deliver a new hospital in King's Lynn will offer the opportunity for this candidate to take operational charge in an Estates & Facilities capacity.

  1. Responsible for managing budgets within areas of responsibility and taking appropriate corrective actions when necessary.
  2. Responsible for delivering the RAAC failsafe programme.
  3. Responsible for the pay and non-pay budget for Estates and Facilities, ensuring value for money in accordance with the Procurement Strategy and the Foundations Trusts Standing Financial Instructions.
  4. Identify ways to make efficiencies contributing to the CIP and ensure its delivery.
  5. Manage the Trust’s estate, including procurement of goods and services, major redevelopments, property acquisitions, disposals, and strategic site development.
  6. Implement the Trust’s Capital Programme on time, within budget, and to quality standards, applying formal project management and procurement techniques.
  7. Manage revenue budgets for Estates and Facilities, ensuring value for money and post-project evaluation.
  8. Be accountable for estates construction and maintenance.
