We are seeking a strategic leader to support the Environment Agency's mission of delivering a circular and Net-Zero economy through regulation of market-based schemes. This permanent role involves managing specialist operational teams, collaborating with government, industry, and regulators, and providing expert regulatory direction. The successful candidate will demonstrate proven operational leadership, excellent communication skills, and experience managing complex work programmes and change. They will operate with autonomy, translating policy into impactful delivery, and navigate complex political environments. The role reports to the Director of Operations and involves engaging with various stakeholders, responding to incidents, and championing diversity and inclusion within the team.
