Role: Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead
Location: Wessex Lodge School, Frome, Somerset BA11 4LA
Salary: From GBP26,000.00 per annum (not pro rata)
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only

We are offering a fantastic opportunity for a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead to join our dedicated team at Wessex Lodge School, part of Acorn Education.
About the Role
The DDSL will support the Designated Safeguarding Lead across school sites. Responsibilities include monitoring safeguarding concerns via SLEUTH, recording physical interventions (to be recovered the same day), debriefing staff involved, and reporting to the DSL and Headteacher. The DDSL is a key point of contact for safeguarding on-site and will work within the Welfare team, contributing to the school's strategic development.
This is a non-teaching role. Experience in a school setting is desirable but not essential; support in lessons may be required occasionally.
