We believe it is through our people that an excellent student experience will be delivered, and this will have a positive impact within our local community. Our visions and values ensure that we put our students first and value our staff as our greatest asset.

We are seeking a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead to join our Safeguarding and Wellbeing Team, playing a vital role in promoting and safeguarding the welfare of our students. Working closely with the Safeguarding and Wellbeing Manager, you will support our most vulnerable learners through direct work, multi-agency liaison, and proactive safeguarding education. The Safeguarding team is a supportive and driven team, working collaboratively across both Croydon and Coulsdon campuses to ensure excellent care, compliance and student outcomes. The area benefits from strong cross-departmental collaboration, high-quality digital case management systems and a deeply embedded safeguarding culture.

In this role, you will lead and coordinate professional safeguarding meetings, deliver engaging training and personal development sessions to students and staff, and work proactively with external agencies. You will also champion key areas such as online safety, healthy relationships, and the Prevent duty across the College.

We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of safeguarding legislation and a trauma-informed approach. You should have experience of working with young people, coordinating external support, and delivering training or group work. Excellent organisational, communication, and IT skills are essential, as is a Level 3 Safeguarding qualification. A background in education, youth work, social care, or mental health support would be an advantage.

We also value staff development and have 7 days a year planned for staff development, including elements of team development, socialisation and staff wellbeing.

If you are as passionate about making a difference, we look forward to receiving your application and joining our great college group.
