An exciting opportunity for a Deputy Manager in the busy Maxillofacial Outpatient Departments at CTMUHB has arisen due to the retirement of the current postholder
The successful candidate will work Monday - Friday, 9.00am- 5.00pm (although some evenings and weekends may be required).
The post is split between the departments at Prince Charles Hospital in Merthyr Tydfil and the Royal Glamorgan Hospital at Llantrisant, supporting the Band 7 in supervising and managing the Nursing team of Registered General Nurses, Registered Dental Nurses and Health Care Support Workers.
They will work as an integral member of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure a seamless service for patients, carers and staff and will be expected to deputise for the Department Manager in their absence
The post holder will be expected to contribute to the provision of health care to the people of Cwm Taf Morgannwg with the responsibility for assessment of care need and the delivery and evaluation of skilled professional care.
Up to date Maxillofacial experience is essential, along with experience of working as a Band 5 nurse.
Duties include :
Day to day management of oral surgery, orthodontic, restorative and prosthodontic clinics
Deputise in the absence of the nurse manager
Manage own clinical workload
Act as clinical lead for the department
Act as clinical supervisor/mentor to qualified/unqualified staff and students
Provide basic HR advice
