Are you a passionate, organised, and knowledgeable individual wanting to make a positive change in care?

As Deputy/Dementia Care Manager at Peaker Park, you will be responsible for providing inspiring leadership and support to the care team, as well as directly influencing the development and growth of our dementia care services at Peaker Park.

This role is based at Peaker Park Care Village, located in the heart of Market Harborough. The Care Village is specially designed to meet the needs of 137 residents living with a range of age-related health conditions, physical disabilities, and mental health conditions that require dignified support from our caring team. Many residents also live with dementia and may need one-to-one personal support to maintain their independence.

Responsibilities of our Dementia Care Manager include:

  • Leading, managing, and supporting your care team alongside your Team Leader, ensuring high-quality care and service for residents
  • Regular review and assessment of care plans, including planning, implementation, and evaluation of residents' care
  • Engaging with residents at a level and pace that values their individuality, dignity, and communication differences
  • Administering and accurately recording prescribed medication, with monitoring of drug doses for residents

What we’re looking for in our Dementia Care Manager:

  • A genuine caring nature and a desire to make a difference for residents
  • Experience leading a care team in a residential care home
  • Extensive experience in dementia care
  • Ability to assist the Home Manager with daily operations, staffing, and financial issues
