About Get Golfing

Get Golfing CIO is a pioneering charity that exists to support struggling golf facilities and make golf more inclusive, accessible, and community-focused. We manage a growing number of golf courses across the UK and reinvest in our venues, people, and communities to ensure the long-term health of the game.

We are now looking for a Deputy Course Manager to join our talented team at Redlibbets Golf & Country Club, supporting the Course Manager in delivering an exceptional playing experience for our members and guests.

Role Purpose

As Deputy Course Manager, you'll play a key role in the daily maintenance and improvement of our course. You'll work hands-on with the greenkeeping team while assisting in planning and supervising operations, ensuring we continue to uphold the highest standards in course conditioning and environmental stewardship.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Course Manager in all aspects of course maintenance, team leadership, and project planning
  • Lead the greenkeeping team in the absence of the Course Manager
  • Ensure all work is carried out safely and efficiently
  • Participate in agronomic planning, irrigation management, and machinery maintenance
  • Monitor course quality and implement best practices to improve playability and sustainability
  • Assist with staff training and development


Requirements

  • Qualified to a minimum of NVQ Level 2 in Sports Turf Management (Level 3 desirable)
  • PA1, PA2, and PA6 spraying certificates
  • At least 3 years experience in a senior position
  • Experience operating a wide range of turf machinery
  • Strong understanding of modern greenkeeping practices and course setup
  • Proven leadership or supervisory experience
  • Passionate about golf course presentation and sustainability
  • Full UK driving licence
