A leading company in therapy-focused child care is looking for a Deputy Home Manager to support daily operations in an Ofsted-rated 'Outstanding' children's home. This full-time role includes leading a team, ensuring therapeutic high care standards, and supporting children through trauma, offering a competitive salary and extensive benefits.
Therapeutic Deputy Home Manager - (Residential Child Care) - Up to £36,360 (Not including Bonuses) - West Sussex Area - Full Time
Overview:
We are currently working with an incredible Children's Home who are recruiting a Therapeutic Deputy Home Manager for an Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ therapeutic children’s home offering trauma-informed care for up to four children.
Services:
- Residential care and education for vulnerable children (aged 4–16, 4–11 on admission), guided by a psychoanalytic and group relations model.
Mission:
- To help children form healthy relationships, recover from trauma, and build brighter futures.
Deputy Manager Role and Responsibilities:
- Support the Therapeutic Home Manager in daily operations.
- Lead, inspire, and support a team of childcare professionals.
- Ensure high standards of therapeutic care.
- Provide on-call support as part of a rota and model good parental care.
- Support staff development and reflective practice.
- Help children build trust, manage emotions, and improve self-esteem.
Deputy manager Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in residential childcare.
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards).
- Full UK driving licence.
- Passion for therapeutic work and supporting children through trauma.
