Job description

The successful candidate will work in conjunction with the Registered Home Manager and deputise for them during their absence. This includes managing all aspects of the day-to-day running of the Children's Home, ensuring safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The Deputy Home Manager will work directly with children and young people daily to provide the best possible care, while also maintaining the management of the home and completing office-based tasks.

Minimum requirements:

  1. At least 2 years' experience working with Children and Young People in a Residential setting.
  2. Recent experience as a Children's Home Deputy Manager or Senior Children's Residential Support Worker.
  3. Minimum QCF Level 3 Residential Childcare or equivalent (per Ofsted requirements).
  4. Enthusiasm and commitment to achieving QCF Level 5 in Children, Young People and Families Management.
  5. Flexibility to cover shifts as needed.
  6. A full UK Driving Licence.
