Position Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000
Reports To: Registered Manager
Job Purpose:
To support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day management of the children's home, ensuring high standards of care and support for children and young people with emotional and behavioral difficulties (EBD). The Deputy Manager will assist in overseeing the operational, financial, and administrative functions of the home, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and promoting a safe, nurturing environment.

Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) or equivalent.
- Willingness to work towards a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care if not already obtained.
Experience:
- Significant experience working in a children's residential setting, preferably with children with EBD.
- Experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage challenging behaviors and promote positive outcomes.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Knowledge:
- Understanding of the regulatory framework for children's homes.
- Knowledge of child development, attachment, and trauma-informed care.

Additional Requirements:
- Enhanced DBS check.
