About the Role

We are currently recruiting a Deputy Manager for a 3-bed children's residential home in Coalville. The home provides high-quality care and support to children and young people, helping them build strong foundations for a successful future. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader in children\'s services to join a dedicated team committed to delivering excellence in care.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise support staff to deliver outstanding care
  • Ensure each young person is supported in line with their placement plan
  • Promote a safe, nurturing environment with high expectations
  • Collaborate with families, professionals, and external partners
  • Attend and contribute to care planning and review meetings
  • Manage staffing levels, budgets, and conduct in line with policy
  • Uphold safeguarding and health & safety standards
  • Contribute to service development and attend management meetings
Who We're Looking For
  • A compassionate and driven individual with a proven track record in residential childcare
  • Confident in leading teams, managing care plans, and ensuring compliance with the Social Care Common Inspection Framework (SCCIF)
Person Specification
  • Level 3, 4, or 5 Residential Childcare qualification (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 1 year\'s supervisory experience in a children\'s residential setting
  • Valid UK Driving Licence (essential)
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and childcare legislation
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviour and work therapeutically
